Oh My Knits! The chunkier, the bigger.. the better. How can you not love A Detacher's Fall 2010 collection? Everything was just sooo.. cozy. Hello thick, liquidy, drapey dresses! I kind of love you. Sweater dresses.. crochet.. yes, please. I could sooo (iam soooo overusing that woooord) be rolling around in the hay somewhere whilst wearing these.. or I could just be sitting at home, reading a book and sipping on tea whilst.. say.. wearing look #4. Yes, plaid knitted sweater.. you.
My first thought was.. style.com must be having some kind of momentary glitch. This looks like a resort collection. But it aint!! and that's the best bit about it. Color! So my foray into color for fall is underway, obviously. How can one resist it though? When it's served up in such a delectable way. Ah Chris Benz. You make mi heart all a-skippy. This could easily have turned into a Marc Jacobs post. Seriously. I may not be thrilled about the looks that used fur but I pretty much adored everything else. Sometimes, its not always about pushing the boundaries of fashion.. sometimes its about nostalgia and creating clothes that touch people. I think he succeeded in doing just that. I mean, this could've easily been tacky.. really.. but this just goes to show how great of a designer Marc Jacobs really is.
